Well.. That's it for Jasper for the summer. I'm back in Ontario now for a few days, And then I'm back off out west to find work again. I'm going to spend a winter in Calgary,  where I hear it's warm sometimes with Chinooks n all that jazz.   A warm winter would be a change.. and it would be well deserved.   

I'm looking for places to live and jobs to fill,   so if anyone has any suggestions,  shoot em my way. 

Jasper was by far,  the greatest experience of my life.   If I had to suggest one thing to anyone who doesn't know where they want to be,  or what to do with themselves,   I'd suggest travel.   Pick a random spot that you would NEVER EVER think of going to to work,   and go work there.   You won't regret it,  trust me.    Just make sure you make all the preperations before hand.  It make sthings a little easier.

HEY !!   Ok so it's been a little while since I've been able to post anything.   I'm currently using the internet at a hotel down the street from my appartment.    Shhh.. I'm a  guest here.     

I'm going to post more pictures for you all...    ummm  Most of these people I work with at Maligne.    I just took random pictures of some of my friends up this way.       We went for a bbq one night,   played some soccer,  and did lots of cool stuff.   You'll also notice the boat pictures.    Those are my vessels.  :)    8 of em in total.    

So...    It turns out I really miss my sketch book.   I;m gonna have to buy one because I'm losing my mind.   I need to put it on paper. haha.     

I've also decided NOT to buy a bike.   I'm going to save my money for proper hiking equipment.  I've realized I'm more of a hiker than a biker.  (not a fan of throbbing arses)    So I'll save up for a nice 70 litre pack,  I'll also invest in some good hiking boots.    Eventually get myself a 2 man tent,  and all that goodness.   

Not much has changed..  My hair is getting longer,  I still like beer,  and I'm still deathly afraid of Squirels.     I discovered that bakeries are amazing,  and I am now a loyal follower of the fresh bread.      So,  Dre...   Send me a recipe.  hahaha   

I'm going on an overnight hike tomorrow...   Should be interesting.    A trail called "Big Bend".   It's just down the IceField Parkway heading towards Banff.   Got me some bear spray and some trail mix...   so I'm all good to go.   Yes.. I said Bear Spray.     haha

Walker...   I still think you suck,

WOOOOAH!  Today was the first GORGEOUS day here in Jasper.  The sun was out, not a cloud in site.   Today for training we didn't go up to the lake.   Instaed we met at one of the hotels Maligne Tours owns and used their pool to learn the proper way to inflate a life raft and set it up for worst case scenarios.   It was AMAZING!   haha    I didn't ,  unfortunately,  think of taking pics of that.      So.. our training lasted 2 hours today  (we got payed for 3 for some reason,  no complaints)   and then we had the day off.   What did I do ?  you ask?    Ooh man..  I took full advantage of the scenery.   Check the pics.     Me and my roomy Eric,  and two other co-workers of mine tooko some mountain bikes through the trails,  up to this HUGE canyon called Maligne Lake CAnyon (how fitting)  .   Me and Eric decided to keep on going while the other s walked it.   Needless to say ... well...  here..  The Newest photo album says it all for me.    hahahaha     Tomorrow we start First Aid training.   (which y the way I've discovered I DONT have to pay for !! )   WOOHOO!!   They pay EVERYTHING.   Maligne that is.      I spent all day yesterday practicing my docking skills up at the lake.  hahahahahaha   Lets just say I need a bit more time to ...  get the flow of things.   (the roomy smashed a dock.. hahaha so I use that to boost my moral)  lol

We also starting learning about the two diesle engines All 7 boats we have are equipped with.   INsane!   but really, really really interesting.  I love it!  Did you know that big boats actually use cold lake water to ... get this...   COOL the engine COOLANT?   whod a thunk it.  not I! 

Well... once more,   My internet time wears thin.     OH   by the way..   I didnt even have to rent the bike.   A co-worker lent me his roomates ... (not sure how that works. lol)   and it was a top of the line "Rocky Mountain" brand bike.   Like brand new almost.  Sept for the break system which was the older v-break system and not the fancy disk break system.   But I'm over it.   I survived some pretty intense bike trails. haha

HEY!!!!!   Everyone!   Time is short.   I only have a few minutes on this stupid internet cafe thinger.    BUT!!!    Everything here is GREAT!   The people I've met are awesome!   The scenery is unbelIEVABLE!   

Finally got a chance to come in and post these pictures..   You'll see my place,  MY star Wars Going away gift HAHA,   The mountains and lakes (my office haha)      but most amazingly,  some of the great people I've met along the way.    SOO much to say! ugh!!

I miss you all Muchly!    I should be getting my phone up shortly.

Friday --  got home,  unpacked..   shit my pants at how amazing this place is. Felt liek walking through Canada's Wonderland  HAHAHA honestly.  

Saturday -- I unpacked...   Hiked arounda bit..  saw some elk... Checked out the mountains,  realized that it will take me forever to explore this place.    We went out saturday night.   And the Peasants rejoiced.      

Sunday --   Orientation day.. they took us around and payed for all the tourist attractions so we could get a better idea of what Jasper really is.  it was SWEEt!  then they made us a big buffet and gave us a free open bar party at the lodge.  Complete with shuttle buses and all  HAHAHA     NICE!!   I got payed to do it..  (NICER)  !!

Today (monday)   --  in class ...  all day..  I know a boat through and through almost.  YEY!

Hey guys!  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND  I'm out!!

You are all no doubt aware that the friends we make along the course of our lives shape and determine who we become.  Thanks to a very special someone, I had the opportunity to re-live all those important people I've come across throughout my Elliot Lake years. 

Friday night Rou organized to have all my closest friends and family come from hours and hours and hours away,  just to have dinner together and wish me goodluck for the trip.   IT WAS INCREDIBLE.    Everyone I love was at the get together and I couldn't have asked for anything better.   Perfection is apparently a parlour trick for Laurissa.

The latest photo album is of the restauraunt on Friday.  There was lots of partying afterwards,  but I don't have the pictures YET!!!  I'll post them up before I leave on wednesday.  

NEEDLESS to say,  it was hard to not consume so many brewskis that I wouldn't remember the weekend, haha ,  but I was good.  :)

There comes a time in a little bird’s life when he must take that life altering leap.  Contrary to what many birds believe, the most challenging part of the jump is not the preparation of the wings, or to make sure they have a full stomach, or even to know which direction they should head in first.  No, the greatest challenge when leaving the birth place is to be sure to have some sense of what lies beneath the nest.  Being able to navigate the new terrain is crucial to the survival of that little bird.  What he needs is some sort of tool to aid him in this quest.  He must be able to explore all the wonderful things this new world has to offer while staying healthy and happy at the same time.  Yes, what this little guy needs is a bike.   

hahahaha   so anyways..   I packed up most of my stuff today.   I have

-Clothes

-Towels

-bathroom stuff

-tuques and mittens

-books, pictures, books.

Anyone got any other sugggestions?
